The YMCA of Brandon first began in Brandon in 1886. Our first YMCA building was built in 1905. The second YMCA facility was built in 1966, operating until August, 2013.
Our current facility, the Dood Cristall Family YMCA, opened August 26, 2013.
“The YMCA of Brandon is a charitable association dedicated to providing quality programs and services for all individuals in the development of Spirit Mind and Body.
The YMCA in Canada is the largest provider of Child Care services. In 2003, the YMCA of Brandon opened our first licensed child care facility. Since that time, we have opened 5 more licensed centres and care for over 500 infants and preschoolers each weekday.
The YMCA operates Before & After School recreational child care sites at 16 Brandon & area Schools to help working parents.
Most importantly, the Y offers its services to everyone, regardless of their ability to pay.
